Day 1 - ARRIVE HOBART. Pick up your 7 day rental car (unlimited miles). Hobart is Australia's smallest capital city nestled on a lovely deep-water harbour beneath Mount Wellington. Settled in 1803 many of Hobart's lovely convict-built sandstone buildings have been carefully preserved. This is the perfect base from which to explore this cradle of colonial history and outstanding physical beauty. The Lodge on Elizabeth - 1 night

Day 2 - HOBART – STRAHAN. Continental breakfast included this morning. Self drive to Strahan 5 hours travel time northwest from Hobart. Along the way enjoy a stop at Lake St Clair for lunch and to take in the beauty of the National Park. Continue on to the charming fishing village of Strahan (named "Best Little Town in the World" by Randy Curwen of the Chicago Tribune). Strahan Village Waterfront cottage - 2 nights

Day 3 - STRAHAN. After your continental breakfast this morning enjoy a World Heritage Cruise on the magnificent Gordon River. The vessel departs Strahan and passes through Hells Gates, the entrance to Macquarie Harbour, then visits a trout and salmon farm enroute to Sarah Island. You will then travel to Heritage Landing, where you will disembark. Enjoy a walk into a Myrtle and Huon pine rainforest. A buffet lunch is available on board.

Day 4 - STRAHAN – CRADLE MOUNTAIN. After your Continental breakfast self drive ( about 2 hours) to Cradle Mountain. Covering some of Tasmania's highest country, the Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park with its many lakes and mountain peaks. Cradle Mountain Chateau Standard Cabin - 2 nights

Day 5 - CRADLE MOUNTAIN – AT LEISURE. Full breakfast included this morning. Day at leisure to explore the Cradle Mountain National Park, relax or do one of the many walks the lodge has to offer.

Day 6 - CRADLE MOUNTAIN – DEVONPORT. After breakfast today head to Devonport, stopping at the Trowunna Wildlife Park. The park plays an important role in rehabilitating and caring for Tasmanian devils. The park also features more than 35 species of birds and animals, and free-ranging kangaroos and wallabies can be hand-fed special pasture pellets. Drop the car at the Devonport dock and Board the Spirit of Tasmania! The ship departs at 9pm and docks into Melbourne at 7am the following day

Day 7 - ARRIVE MELBOURNE. Following disembarkation at the Port Melbourne dock you will be met by a driver from Acacia Limousines for transfer to your city hotel. The Travelodge Southbank - 2 nights

Day 8 - MELBOURNE. Today you will experience the famous Yarra Valley with a small group tour. Visit a 100-year-old working dairy and sample hand-made farm cheeses. Taste wine at the adjacent Yarra Valley Wine Hub, a cellar door for producers of single vineyard wines from low yielding, distinctive vineyards. Have lunch at Domaine Chandon and you conclude at Yering Farm Winery.

Day 9 - MELBOURNE. After Buffet breakfast another small group tour. You will travel through lush farming country and stunning Mountain River region. Lunch at in a historic township of Walhalla followed by a tour of the long tunnel gold mine.

Day 10 - Buffet breakfast and airport transfer are included .
